Every month, we pick one newly released fantasy book that we think you will love to include in this subscription!

Titles chosen will encompass a range of vibrant subgenres – from cosy fantasy and sword and sorcery, to urban epics and mythology retellings. We will also occasionally feature books that cross genre boundaries (e.g. Science Fantasy, Horror Fantasy), but our focus will always be on picking novels we know fantasy fans will love. Most books included will be for an adult readership, but we will occasionally include YA titles that we believe adults will also enjoy.

Books will arrive with you in our signature wrapping – recycled brown paper, twine, a wax seal, and a bookmark – alongside a luxury teabag, a bookplate signed by the author (when possible), and occasionally, a small surprise item (e.g. a sticker, bookmark, postcard, etc). All our packaging is sustainably sourced and plastic-free.

Dryad's Book Subscription is £11 a month (£14.80 including UK Tracked shipping). It is also available a 3-, 6- and 12-month pre-paid subscription – click here to find out more!

Your first book will be shipped soon after your order, and your subsequent books will be shipped when your subscription renews (or, as soon after your renewal as possible, if our book of the month's publication date has not yet passed). For instance, if you placed your order on May 24th, you would receive our May book of the month, then our June book of the month when your order renews on June 24th.

If you would like to instead start with a specific month or change the date of your renewal, let us know by leaving a note at checkout or by emailing hello@dryad-books.co.uk.

In the Nine Lands, only those of noble blood can summon the spirits of their ancestors to fight in battle. But when Temi, a commoner from the slums, accidentally invokes a powerful spirit, she finds it could hold the key to ending a centuries-long war.

But not everything that can be invoked is an ancestor. And some of the spirits that can be drawn from the ancestral realm are more dangerous than anyone can imagine...
